Pavers

Pavers for Driveways and Walkways

Every home needs well-designed and well-implemented hardscaping to complete the look and have a well manicured, enjoyable outside space. Your home's design might be incomplete without the addition of hardscaping features, that is, any non-living elements added to the outdoor space such as pebbles or gravel, bricks or pavers, and wood or stone. A decent patio is a great location to relax and entertain guests, while retaining walls protect your lawn and garden from erosion, and paths and driveways facilitate easy movement around your property. All of these are perfect examples of Tampa hardscapes that can be incorporated with your landscape design. Depending on the style you go with, landscape pavers with artificial grass lining can really improve the look of your home. All of your driveway and paving walkway demands can be met by Tampa Turf Grass as we provide comprehensive artificial grass and paving solutions.

Artificial Grass and Paver Walkways

An attractive path might be the defining feature of your garden if done with unique stones or square concrete patio stones. Brick walks combined with our high-quality artificial grass, with bright colors and patterns that wind through your backyard or gardens can be picturesque and give an earthy beauty to your property. Our artificial walkway designs are popular because they give homes a more rural appearance and reduce a good amount of seasonal upkeep, which is preferred by many homeowners in Tampa. Our team of professionals have completed projects in which walkways and artificial turf were used to delineate and enhance the attractiveness of the surrounding landscape. It's also common to see this use in backyards, especially in ways like extra large tiles that lead to a swimming pool or hot tub. Turf and paver combos are very popular around swimming pools and can be used interchangeably (meaning the turf leads to the edge of the pool or the pavers lead to the edge of the pool. Either format can be used to create a beautiful oasis for you and your guests.

Diamond Paver Drives

Diamond pavers are a type of concrete (or other) paver that is made with a diamond-shaped pattern. This pattern gives the pavers a unique and attractive look, and it also helps to make them more durable. Some benefits of using diamond pavers are: they are more resistant to cracking and chipping than poured concrete, making them a good choice for driveways that experience a lot of traffic. In addition, diamond pavers are easy to maintain. Most materials can be power washed to remove dirt and debris, and they rarely require any special treatment to prevent fading or staining.

With our formal walkway designs, our brick's adaptability means it can be used with any design scheme in residential and commercial, or even retail garden settings. Our team typically suggests using stone of uniform size and color in a straightforward, orderly pattern. This way is an excellent way to convey a more refined aesthetic. However this may not be what you have in mind. We can help you source a less typical paverstone or we can pick up walkway elements that you have already ordered. Natural stone pavers tend to be one of the more expensive options to shop for and concrete typically lands around the lowest price point for customers.

The diamond paver look has become very popular in recent years. It can be used for driveways making an entrance to a home look very prestigious or it can be used in a courtyard in place of existing brick, pavers or grass. We can customize your look but by offering installation of various sizes of diamond shaped stones and we can also increase or decrease the width of the artificial grass that creates that grid pattern in between each stone so that you can get the ideal look you want. A 24" paver is one of the more common options and work really well for an area with furniture, however we have installed other sections for people that want to use diamond stones that are as small as 4". Turf grass can still be laid in a grid pattern around these pavers to look just as stunning.

Borders for Paver Driveways and Turf Lawns

Having a wide route with a premium and professionally sized and installed artificial grass border around it makes for a great elegant walkway to showcase in your landscape. For borders, it really depends on the space. We have seen families that want the turf to extend to the edge of their property or home, we've also seen folks that prefer to use a stone or concrete border to provide a buffer and give a frame to their area. Nearly anything is possible because all of our work is done with custom turf and a team that is willing to listen and execute with high attention to detail. If you have questions or would like a consultation, we can come to your business or home and take a look at the space in order to help you find the best possibility for the area you want to improve.

Custom Tampa Artificial Turf

When you hear people refer to artificial grass driveways, they may often mean something with a combination of turf and pavers. Perhaps you've heard that artificial grass can be laid directly over concrete. This used to be the norm at many sporting venues, but nowadays there are all types of different infill that can be used to provide a cushioned and more welcoming, secure groundwork for the surface. Maybe you've thought about installing artificial grass over your concrete driveway. Depending on the condition, this could be an option if you're not looking for a stone and turf combo. When we look at fully custom options, where we have no limitations and the final presentation is the ultimate goal, most companies are going to opt to remove the existing material that is already on the ground. This gives us the best chance of leveling the surface and also protecting the artificial turf from having any kind of growth from occurring underneath or shifting of materials because we'll use our own aggregate as a sub-base designed specifically for use under fake grass. What could be more sophisticated than a green driveway that doesn't require weeding and watering? We can help you achieve that dream.

Installing Artificial Grass and Pavers for your Driveway

The installation of artificial grass and pavers for a driveway is not too difficult of a process for professionals with ampule experience. First, the area where the new installation is going to happen needs to be cleaned, smoothed, and any existing substrates needs to be removing to best prepare the land for the new materials. The pavers are then installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. If corners and edges don't fit perfectly within the size of the stones, we'll measure and cut them, much like how tilework is done around bathrooms. Once the pavers are in place, the artificial grass is installed over the top of them or in between according to the style and pattern. Depending on the overall size and shape, the fake grass is measured and cut, laid into each cavity, and secured by various methods. We may use adhesive with a combination of metal spikes (like a nail) if the application calls for it. We check for any disrupted edged and smooth the final pieces while adding infill then raking or brooming the total area.

Artificial Grass Infill

The infill comes in all kinds of different forms, from rubber to sand and even cork. These infills help the artificial grass blades stand upright, even after being walked or driven on. Grass infill also helps protect the turf backing by serving as an extra layer or material in between the weight from vehicles and the base of the turf where the blades are attached. By shielding direct contact to the backing and any item that applies pressure from above, the lifespan of the turf can be extended, adding to your investment and reducing potential turf repairs down the road.

All in all the process should take a week or less if you don't have a massive area to cover. Laying down the paver pattern and if needed, cutting the size of stones around the perimeter, can be one of the more time consuming parts. The actual turf installation can often be completed in a single day. These are general timelines. If you plan to work with us, we recommend waiting until we can provide you a firm plan before you schedule any additional contractors to get work done before or after our team.

Pavers Without Turf

Plenty of families choose to go the route of turf in their yard but not in their driveway. We have helped lot's of folks in that position. If you want a driveway without artificial grass but still want a step up from concrete or gravel, we can lay pavers for you in any pattern with any stones whether it is needed for a driveway, walkway or edging of any sort. Pavers can also be used to boost the look of a front porch a rear lanai. Various types of landscaping can be surrounded with brick or small walkways or stepping stones can be used to connect gardens, pool decks or courtyards which can be surrounded by fake turf or live landscaping. Your imagination is the limit! Our team is able to install large trees, heavy gravel, full landscapes, water elements, outdoor kitchens and of course pavers by themselves or combined with astroturf.

Tampa Turf Grass Adaptability, Possibility, and Creative Freedom

There are a wide variety of paver walkway designs and patterns combined with artificial turf products to choose from to find one that complements your home's aesthetic and increases the market value. The cost of artificial grass combined with premium bricks or concrete may be less than that of stone but it may not be the look you are striving for at your Tampa house.

Keep in mind, there are many types of artificial grass nowadays which you can choose from. If you have a real lawn on your property, it would be a good idea to get samples and compare them to find one that mimics the color or texture of your real grass. This can avoid drawing unwanted attention to your artificial grass + paver selection. On a similar note, the color of the pavers you choose will also affect the overall appearance of your driveway. You can choose to match the color of your home's exterior, or you can choose a contrasting color to create a more dramatic look. Just make sure you consider these elements before installation begins.
